The family of Robert “Tubby” Ekeren has asked the Patriot Guard Riders to honor Robert with a flag line showing our appreciation for his service to our country.
Robert served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955 during the Korean War.
He was stationed in Germany as a Morse code interpreter and sharp shooter.
The funeral service will be 2:00pm, Friday July 24, 2015 at the Vangen Lutheran Church, 300 East 3rd Street, Mission Hill, SD with visitation 1 hour prior to the funeral at the church.
Inurnment with military honors will be at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, South Dakota at a later date.
Stage: 12:30 at the church for a short briefing and to stand flag line as directed by the R.C. Flags will be provided and will be posted by noon at the church.
