“Flags Only” Funeral Mission

The family of Walter M. Rogat has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to honor Walter with a flag line showing our appreciation and respect for his service to our great Nation. After graduating High School in 1968 Walter was drafted into the United States Army to serve during the Vietnam War. In 1969 he left for his deployment in Korea where he served as a registered postal officer until his honorable discharge in 1970.
A Memorial Service will be 11:00 AM on Friday, October 3, 2025, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, in Yankton, South Dakota. Burial will be at a later date. The family will receive friends at 10:00 AM for the Visitation prior to the Memorial Service. The Visitation and Memorial Service will be ” Flags Only”.
