The family of Bernard (Barney) Metz has asked the Patriot Guard riders to show our respect and appreciation to Bernard for his service to his and our country with a flag line. Bernard served his country in the U.S. Army.
There will be a visitation on Wednesday, August 31st at Bittner Funeral Chapel, 805 W. Havens Ave., Mitchell, SD, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. This will be a “flags only” flag line.
Stage time for the funeral will be 9:00am on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Bittner Funeral Chapel, 805 W. Havens Ave., Mitchell, SD. The funeral will begin at 10:30am and burial will be at Servicemen’s Memorial Cemetery in Mitchell following the funeral service. We are expecting an escort to the cemetery and we will be standing flag line during the grave side rites and the military honors.
