Funeral Mission
June 10th & 11th, 2019
Sioux Falls, SD

   The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of Robert C. “Bob” Kono, to show our appreciation and respect to “Bob” with a flag line in honor of his service to his and our great Nation.  Bob entered the U.S. Army on February 7, 1952 in Sioux Falls, SD and served during the Korean War.  Bob was honorably discharged with the rank of Corporal on November 6, 1953 at Camp Irwin, CA.

The funeral service will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 11 at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory, Sioux Falls,   Visitation begins at 5:00 PM Monday, June 10 at the funeral home, where the family will greet friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  Flags for the visitation on Monday will be placed by 4:00 PM prior to the arrival of the family.

   Stage: 8:30 AM, Tuesday, June 11th, 2019 at George Boom Funeral Home, 3408 E. 10th St., Sioux Falls, SD.  Military Honors will be at George Boom Funeral Home immediately following the funeral with burial at 1:00 PM Tuesday at Hurley Cemetery, Hurley, SD.

Flags will be provided.
