Funeral Mission
June 10th, 2019
DeSmet, SD
The family of Shawn Hansen has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to honor Shawn with a flag line showing our appreciation and respect for his service to his and our great nation. Shawn enlisted in the US Army Infantry and during his service, he spent 3 years in South Korea. Following his military career, he enlisted in the United States Air National Guard, where he was still serving at the time of his death, at the age of 33. He proudly served his country for 15 years.
A funeral service will be held at 9:00 AM Monday, June 10, 2019 in the De Smet Event Center, with Reverend Jim Millman, officiating. Burial will follow at De Smet Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
Stage: 7:30 AM, Monday, June 10th, 2019 at the De Smet Event Center, 705 Wilder Lane, DeSmet, SD. There will be a short briefing by the ride captain before the start of the flag line one hour prior to the funeral.
Flags will be provided for the mission.
